S-shaped cross-section, non-cutting tip and sharp cutting edges. Shapes the canal by reciprocating back and forth at about 300 rpm (150° counter-clockwise, then 30° clockwise). Heat treatment makes it more flexible and more resistant to cyclic fatigue.
